Terms and Conditions for MioQuiz

Welcome to MioQuiz, an AI-powered quiz builder for creating, editing, sharing, and exporting quizzes from PDFs, videos, and web links. These Terms of Use govern your use of the application, including any services or features that we may provide to you.

By using our application, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you may not use the application.

1. Introduction & Acceptance

MioQuiz lets you generate quizzes with AI from content you provide and edit them using built-in templates. By accessing or using MioQuiz, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Additional policies may apply to certain features (for example, billing policies shown at checkout). If there is a conflict, the more specific policy controls.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the service
  • Users under 18 must use the service with parent/guardian consent
  • Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure
  • You are responsible for activity under your account
  • We may suspend accounts for misuse, fraud, or security concerns

3. Your Content & Uploaded Materials

  • You must have the rights and permissions to upload any files, links, or content you provide
  • Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or inappropriate
  • Uploads are used only to generate and edit quizzes you request
  • You can delete your uploads at any time; after your subscription ends we retain uploads for up to 14 days before deletion
  • Generated quizzes and exports remain in your library unless you delete them

4. AI-Generated Output & Intellectual Property

You receive a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, print, publish, and distribute the quizzes and exports generated for you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

AI output may inadvertently resemble existing works. You are responsible for ensuring your use of any output complies with applicable laws and third-party rights (for example, avoiding copyrighted or proprietary materials without permission).

We may showcase anonymized, non-personal examples of generated content to demonstrate the product. We will not do so with your identifiable or sensitive content without your permission.

5. Plans, Billing, and Renewals

Subscriptions

  • Plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (typically monthly) through our payment partner, DodoPayments
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the current term ends
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period; no refunds or partial credits are issued for unused time
  • If a payment fails, we may pause access until payment is resolved
  • Taxes may apply and are your responsibility

Usage Allowances

  • Your plan includes a stated allowance (for example, quizzes, questions, or generation credits) shown on the billing page
  • Allowances reset each billing cycle and do not roll over unless explicitly stated in your plan
  • One-time add-ons or top-ups, when offered, are non-refundable once delivered

Price and Plan Changes

  • We may update pricing or plan features; continued use after notice means you accept the new terms

6. Fair Use & Prohibited Activities

When using MioQuiz, you agree not to:

  • Create content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
  • Infringe or misappropriate others' intellectual property or publicity rights
  • Upload content containing sensitive personal data without proper consent
  • Generate or distribute quizzes intended to harm or deceive
  • Use bots, scraping, or other automated methods to access the service
  • Reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to bypass security or usage limits
  • Resell, sublicense, or build competing services using MioQuiz without permission

7. Service Availability & Performance

  • Generation times can vary based on system load and input size
  • We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability
  • Refunds are not provided for slower generation times or brief outages

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service and AI output are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of the generated content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MioQuiz and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or pose a security or legal risk. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, and data handling follows our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States without regard to its conflict of law principles. If your local laws provide you mandatory consumer protections, those remain unaffected.
